Seems like there is a brand-new film duo in town, as Shruti Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj are joining hands for a new project.

Kamal Haasan’s production banner, Raaj Kamal Films International, has unveiled an intriguing new poster featuring Shruti Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, sparking considerable excitement and speculation about their upcoming collaboration. The poster shared on the official X account of Raaj Kamal Films International, has quickly gained attention and generated buzz within the film fraternity and among fans.

Captioned “Inimel Delulu is the New Solulu #IdhuveyRelationship #IdhuveySituationship #IdhuveyDelusionship,” the tweet accompanying the poster has received a significant response, amassing a million likes on the platform, underscoring the eagerness and curiosity of fans for further details about the project.

Meanwhile, director Lokesh Kanagaraj is gearing up for his highly anticipated project, tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, which will see him collaborating with superstar Rajinikanth. The director recently disclosed that the film ventures into the action-drama genre, marking a fresh direction in his cinematic repertoire.

Kanagaraj’s previous directorial venture, Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay, garnered widespread acclaim and emerged as one of the most prominent Indian releases of 2023. Featuring a star-studded cast including Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mysskin, among others, the film was produced by S S Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner of Seven Screen Studios. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, Leo premiered on October 19, 2023, achieving remarkable commercial success. Despite a budget of 250 crores, the film grossed an impressive 600 crores, making it the second-highest-grossing Tamil film of the year and the top-grossing Tamil film internationally.

On the other hand, Shruti Haasan, last seen in Prashanth Neel’s directorial Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, alongside Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, continues to engage audiences with her diverse roles. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, Salaar hit theatres on December 22, 2023, featuring an ensemble cast and music by Ravi Basrur.
