HanuMan Movie Set For 3D Release With New Sequences
HanuMan is holding its ground against other releases and has now secured its place among the highest-grossing films in Tollywood.

Director Prasanth Varma has made a mark in the film industry with his exceptional films. Following the success of Zombie Reddy, Varma presented HanuMan, released on January 12, which became a blockbuster. The film gained popularity not only in Telugu but also in Hindi, making a significant impact even in the American market. Despite its modest budget, HanuMan is achieving remarkable feats, surpassing major productions like Baahubali, RRR and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

HanuMan has crossed the $5 million (Rs 41,49,34,500) mark in collections. The film is making waves, holding its ground against other releases and has now secured its place among the highest-grossing films in Tollywood. This accomplishment follows the records set by Rajamouli’s films such as Baahubali 2, Baahubali 1 and RRR. HanuMan has emerged as the highest-grossing Tollywood movie, surpassing the notable milestone of Rs 250 crores.

HanuMan is set to hit the screens in a 3D version. Director Prashanth Varma is reportedly set to present a 3D rendition of the film, currently undergoing tests to determine its viability. Furthermore, there are reports that additional scenes are being included in this version. The team aims to release the 3D edition next summer.

As for the OTT and satellite partners of the film, Zee Corporation has secured the complete non-theatrical rights. The rights include Zee Telugu, Zee Cinema and the OTT platform Zee 5 for HanuMan. The movie is expected to be available on OTT platforms within 60 days of its theatrical release.

The distribution rights were as follows: Nizam – Rs 7.15 crores, Ceded – Rs 4 crores, Andhra – Rs 9.50 crores, AP Telangana total – Rs 20.65 crores, Karnataka and Rest of India – Rs 2 crores, Overseas – Rs 4 crores, totalling a worldwide business of Rs 26.65 crores. Despite a break-even target of Rs 27.50 crores for the film to be considered a hit, it remarkably achieved break-even within just three days of its release.

The film centres on a young man bestowed with supernatural abilities by Lord HanuMan, combating the forces of evil aiming to destroy the world. The appealing graphics, particularly the depiction of HanuMan, enhance the movie’s overall allure. Notably, the film aligns with the completion and worship of the grand Ram Mandir in the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram.

The movie was simultaneously released in various foreign languages, including Telugu and Hindi. Produced on a grand scale by Niranjan Reddy under the Prime Show Entertainment banner, the film features music by Anudeep Dev, Hari Gowra and Krishna Saurabh.
