The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced the written exam dates for the recruitment of 60,244 UP police constable positions. As per the official schedule, the exam will be held on February 17 and 18, 2024. Candidates who applied for the exam can check the schedule on the official website at uppbpb.gov.in. Over 50 lakh candidates have applied for the exam this year.

The UP police written exam will be held for one hour and will carry a total of 300 marks. The topics include General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical Aptitude, and Mental Aptitude. There will be a total of 150 questions and each question will carry two marks and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

UP Police Recruitment 2023: How to Check Exam Schedule

Step 1 – Go to the official website at uppbpb.gov.in

Step 2 – Click on the UP police recruitment link on the homepage.

Step 3 – Click on the exam date notification link.

Step 4 – The date sheet will open in a pdf format.

Selection for the UP police constable posts will be based on the written examination followed by physical test. In the physical tests, male candidates from the General/OBC and SC categories should have a minimum height of 168 cm, while male candidates from the ST category will have a height relaxation of 8 cm, with a minimum height requirement of 160 cm. For female applicants in the General, OBC, and SC categories, the minimum height requirement is 152 cm, while ST category applicants should have a minimum height of 147 cm.

UP police aim to fill the vacancies across various positions such as constable, SI, jail warder, radio operator, clerical cadre, computer operator, and computer programmer. For the position of Sub Inspector, candidates must hold a graduate degree, while constable positions require a minimum educational qualification of 12th pass. Candidates must alsi fall within the age group of 18 to 25 years. Those who successfully qualify for the examination will get a salary of Rs 21,700.
